POSITION VACANT – Human Resources Officer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Officer to join CASPA's Human Resources Group on a full-time basis in Coffs Harbour during an exciting period of national growth.

CASPA Services Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation providing a range of specialised care services to support complex trauma-based needs for children, young people and families, people with disability, and people with mental illness. Our programs include Therapeutic Intensive Residential Care, Intensive Family Preservation, Therapeutic Foster Care, Restoration, and other associated care types, we are a registered NDIS provider and operate a social enterprise Maintenance and repairs business. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Human Resources Officer with CASPA, you will provide high level recruitment and administrative support to the Mid North Coast Teams in cohesion with the HR department based in Lismore NSW. This role involves both collaborative and autonomous responsibility to ensure effective Human Resources function in the Coffs Harbour region, including operating as the key liaison for external/internal stakeholders, managing quality compliance, and supporting the staff essential to CASPA's successful service provision.

We are looking for someone with industry knowledge relevant to supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma and whose values align with ours:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake interview process for vacant positions in the Mid North Coast specifically (this may include some travel to remote CASPA offices)
  • Provide guidance to panel members on merit selection processes in shortlisting and interviewing applicants, including phone and face to face interview
  • Contemporary Human Resources functions and administrative duties
  • Maintenance of Staff Files utilising Human Resource Information System, and hard copy archiving. And Hard Copy Files
  • Scheduling and monitor administrative requirements for interview, through to induction of new staff members
  • Records management and compliance within CASPA’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Contribute to a proactive and positive team culture by introducing and researching best practice recruitment, screening, interviewing and communication processes
  • Adhere to WHS responsibilities to ensure a safe working environment

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate in Human Resources/Recruitment or similar
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a recruitment setting
  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to coordinate your own administrative tasks
  • Excellent computer literacy, including keyboard skills and spreadsheet utilisation with an aptitude for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, in a busy and challenging environment with a positive, friendly attitude
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to empathise and communicate with employees at every level of the organisation and its stakeholders
  • Desired - Ability to liaise with various similar organisations, community, and vocational learning institutions
  • Desired - Knowledge of/ or experience in a non-government recruitment needs, particularly within Out-of Home Care
  • Desired - For future planning a desire to obtain someone with experience in a Recruitment Database (Onboarding System)

Working with Children and Criminal History Checks are requirements for all child related employment at CASPA.
